A Locking snap hook is the end safety hardware of the fall arrest harness, to prevent the wearer from falling.

There are two locking snap hooks on a safety harness, one is scaffold hook which is bigger and another one is snap hook which is smaller. 

The small locking snap hook is primarily used to connect to the lanyard of the safety harness and is secured to the wearer's body, ensuring 

that the wearer receives support in the event of an accident. 

The large locking snap hook, conversely, is used to connect the other end of the safety harness to a sturdy object—such as a building's 

scaffold structure or a dedicated safety lifeline—to prevent the wearer from falling. 

During operation, the small locking snap hook remains close to the wearer, serving as the personal attachment point of the safety harness. 

The large locking snap hook, however, must be anchored to a sturdy object positioned above the worker; this adheres to the principle of 

"high anchoring, low use," which serves to minimize the impact force generated during a fall.
